Glendenings make a range of traditional bakery products for sale to the wholesale and retail trade.

Our bread products range from simple, traditional New Zealand favourites to garlic bread, bagels and the more sophisticated croissant, Focaccia and Ciabatta breads. Fruit pies, meat pies, rolls, buns, éclairs, slices and cakes are also made on the premises.

Glendenings' European Style Breads

Glendenings' artisan European style breads are in high demand with discerning cafes and restaurants and they include:

Focaccia
A flat bread topped with herbs and spices. It is quite popular in Italy and is usually seasoned with olive oil and herbs, topped with cheese and meat or flavoured with a number of vegetables.

Ciabatta
A soft, porous bread with a crispy crust that originated in Italy. The bread takes its name from the Italian word for "slipper" because of its oblong shape. While Ciabatta has been a staple at table-service restaurants for years, it has recently begun appearing in fast-food outlets.

Turkish bread
A light and soft, olive oil-enriched flatbread similar to Ciabatta but lighter. Lightly salted, Turkish bread is an enjoyable accompaniment to any meal.

Panini
Essentially an Italian toasted sandwich bread. It is another flatbread. Filled with whatever tempts the appetite, lightly toasted and pressed, Panini makes a delicious snack or a light meal.
